September have been another successful month for BSD community.
One way to look at it can be via releases. So let's look at them.
GhostBSD
GhostBSD 3.5-BETA2
GhostBSD 3.5 BETA3
GhostBSD 3.5 RC1
FeeNAS
FreeNAS 9.1.1-RELEASE
This release offers small, but significant, improvements to FreeNAS 9.1.0!
A number of cosmetic issues, UI tracebacks and outright bugs (such as 32 bit plugins not working) have been addressed since 9.1 was released. A few features that were known to be broken, such as AIO in Samba3 or IPv6 in plugin jails, were also disabled to avoid people shooting their feet off. Finally, a number of important ZFS stability fixes were also picked up from the TrueOS repo during the creation of 9.1.1-RELEASE.
DragonFly BSD
DragonFly 3.4.3
See the tag commit
for a list of the bugfixes. The big thing for me is the fix for amrd
and the virtual machine performance fix. Either update via git, or download an image.
PC-BSD
PC-BSD 9.2-RELEASE
based on FreeBSD 9.2 RC3 and then RC4
OpenBSD
OpenBSD 5.4 preorders started
FreeBSD
FreeBSD 9.2-RC4
FreeBSD 10.0-ALPHA1
FreeBSD 10.0-ALPHA2
FreeBSD 10.0-ALPHA4
pfSense
pfSense 2.1-RELEASE
This release brings many new features, with the biggest change being
IPv6 support in most every portion of the system. There are also a
number of bug fixes, and touch ups in general. It’s making its way to
the mirrors now, and should be on all of them by end of day Sunday. The
complete list of significant changes follows, and can also be found here including more details. If you want to see every single individual change, check out RELENG_2_1 commits in our github here and the 469 completed tickets in our redmine here.
NetBSD
NetBSD 5.2.1 and NetBSD 5.1.3 patch releases
NetBSD 6.1.2 and 6.0.3
MidnightBSD
MidnightBSD 0.4-RELEASE-p4
That's all folks! I might miss something, thought.
