FreeNAS 9.2.1.3-BETA now available
Announcing FreeNAS 9.2.1.3-RELEASE

High level features for 9.2.1.3:
- * Samba (SMB/CIFS support) upgraded to version 4.1.6
- * Netatalk (AFP support) upgraded to version 3.1.1
- * ZFS replication status is now provided in ZFS Replication UI
- * The bug preventing FTP from starting when logging to system dataset has been fixed.

Jenkins and Bhyve: Continuous Integration for FreeBSD by Craig Rodrigues
A team of FreeBSD developers led by Craig Rodrigues (rodrigc@freebsd.org) has formed the jenkins-admin team (jenkins-admin@freebsd.org). They have set up the Jenkins Continuous Integration system inside the FreeBSD cluster, and are building several branches of FreeBSD. The web server which lists the builds is visible at: https://jenkins.freebsd.org.

Multiple FreeBSD Jails with nullfs
Using nullfs, one can easily run multiple jails by reusing a base install. The FreeBSD Handbook has a page on this, but Scott Robins prefers an alternative method – “which I find far simpler”.
GUI images for DragonFly 3.6 sort of
If you noticed the lack of a GUI DVD image for the 3.6 release of DragonFly, I posted a followup note on the users@ list that talks about the steps to get X installed. It’s not much work, with pkg set up.
